Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences and understand how pages are used. Pulse Craft Nest uses cookies sparingly and always with a clear consent choice for non-essential categories. We do not use cookies to profile individual readers for advertising.

How we obtain consent

On your first visit, a banner appears at the bottom of the screen with three options: Accept all, Reject all, or Customise. Customise opens toggles implemented as buttons with role="switch" — not hidden form inputs — for Analytics and Maps. Your choice is stored in a cookie named sg_portal_consent_v18 for one hundred eighty days, with a localStorage backup under cookie_consent_v1.

Cookie categories explained

Essential: Required to store your consent decision and maintain basic site operation. These cannot be disabled without breaking consent memory. Essential cookies do not track you across other websites.

Analytics: Optional. If enabled, helps us understand aggregated readership — which sections are read, approximate device types, and referral paths. We do not use analytics to profile individual readers or sell data to third parties.

Maps: Optional. If enabled, Google Maps iframes load on pages that include location embeds. If disabled, a placeholder appears with a Load map button that enables maps for your session when clicked. Google may set its own cookies subject to Google's policies when maps load.

Managing preferences

Consent is stored for approximately 180 days in cookie sg_portal_consent_v18 with a localStorage mirror. Manage cookies

You may change your choice at any time by clicking Manage cookies above, which reopens the consent panel with your current settings. Alternatively, clear cookies for pulsecraftnest.life in your browser settings and reload the site — the banner will reappear. You may also email [email protected] with your request.

Third-party cookies

When map embeds are enabled, Google may set its own cookies subject to Google's policies. Pulse Craft Nest does not control third-party cookies. Review Google's documentation for details on their map embed service. We do not embed social media widgets or advertising networks that set additional tracking cookies.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. Pulse Craft Nest treats a Reject all consent choice as equivalent to declining non-essential cookies regardless of browser signal. Essential consent storage remains active so we can remember your choice without prompting on every page view.

Updates to this policy

We may revise this cookie policy when our technology or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the current version. Material changes will be noted here with a brief summary. Version 1.0 published 14 August 2026 coinciding with the Pulse Craft Nest launch.

Browser controls

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the consent banner from remembering your choice, causing it to reappear on every visit. Blocking map cookies has no effect on reading articles — only map embeds are affected. Instructions vary by browser; consult your browser's help documentation for cookie management steps specific to your device.

Mobile devices

On mobile browsers, cookie settings may appear under privacy or site settings rather than a dedicated cookies menu. Clearing site data for pulsecraftnest.life removes both the sg_portal_consent_v18 cookie and the localStorage backup, resetting your preferences. Mobile map embeds follow the same consent rules as desktop — a placeholder appears until you accept map cookies or click Load map on an individual embed.

Analytics scope

If you enable analytics cookies, we receive aggregated data only — not individual profiles sold to advertisers. We use analytics to understand which sections readers open most often and whether mobile or desktop layouts serve the audience better. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider's policy if a provider is configured; in the current build, analytics cookies are optional and may not activate third-party scripts until explicitly enabled.

Essential cookie details

The sg_portal_consent_v18 cookie stores a JSON object with your choices: essential (always true), analytics (true/false), maps (true/false). It is set on pulsecraftnest.life only, with path / and SameSite=Lax. It does not track you across other websites. The localStorage key cookie_consent_v1 mirrors the same JSON for resilience when users clear cookies but not site storage.

Changes after consent

If you accepted map cookies and later wish to disable them, use Manage cookies to reopen the consent panel, turn Maps off, and save. Map iframes already loaded in your session may remain until you reload the page. If you rejected analytics and later enable them, no retroactive data is collected — tracking begins only after you save the new preference.
